Latest Update: Bihar STET 2026 Exam Rescheduled
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the postponement of the Bihar STET 2026 examination. The exam, which was originally scheduled to be conducted on 4 November 2026, will now take place on 21 November 2026. This change is a significant development for thousands of candidates aspiring to become teachers in Bihar.
Candidates are advised that the admit cards previously issued for the November 4 exam are now canceled. New, revised admit cards will be made available for download from the official website starting 24 October 2026. It is imperative for all candidates to download their new admit cards well in advance of the rescheduled exam date.
Reason for the Postponement
The primary reason cited for the postponement of the Bihar STET 2026 exam is a scheduling conflict with other major national-level examinations. Specifically, the BSEB noted clashes with exams conducted by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). To ensure that candidates do not face difficulties in appearing for multiple important examinations, the board decided to shift the STET date.
Potential Concerns for BPSC TRE 4.0

There is particular apprehension about the potential impact on the BPSC Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE) 4.0. Candidates are worried that such postponements might affect the smooth conduct and timely completion of the BPSC TRE 4.0 recruitment cycle. While the BSEB aims to facilitate candidates, the management of these timelines remains a point of concern for many.
