BPSC TRE 4 Notification 2026: 32,388 Vacancies Confirmed, Prelims + Mains Pattern, Exam in Nov–Dec

BPSC TRE 4 Notification 2026 is finally taking shape — and there are three critical updates every Bihar teaching aspirant must know right now. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has officially confirmed via tweet that the Education Department has sent a requisition for 32,388 teacher posts to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). The notification is expected before 15 August 2026, and the exam — contrary to several circulating rumours — is likely to be held in November–December 2026, not September.

Most importantly, BPSC TRE 4 will follow a two-paper format: Prelims and Mains — a significant change from the earlier single-paper pattern. This article breaks down everything you need to know based on the latest verified update.

⚠️ 3 Critical Facts You Must Know Right Now

1. The Exam Is NOT in September — It's November to December

Several websites and social media posts have been claiming that BPSC TRE 4 exam will be held on 22 September 2026. This is incorrect. Based on the latest information:

The exam notification will first be released before 15 August 2026. After notification, application forms will open, and only after the application window closes will BPSC set the final exam date. Given this timeline, the examination is expected to be conducted in November to December 2026.

Do not build your exam strategy around a September date. You likely have more preparation time than you think — but that does not mean you should delay starting.

2. There Will Be TWO Papers: Prelims + Mains

This is the biggest structural change in BPSC TRE 4 compared to earlier rounds. BPSC has been given independent authority over the examination process, and they have confirmed a two-stage format:

  • Prelims: The earlier single-paper format (covering Language, GK, Pedagogy, Subject Knowledge) will now function as the Preliminary Examination

  • Mains: BPSC will independently decide the Mains paper pattern — details expected with the official notification

This two-paper system directly impacts your preparation approach. You can no longer rely on one-time full-syllabus revision. You must be able to clear a qualifying Prelims round first, then perform strongly in the Mains.

3. CTET Must Be Cleared Before the Application Last Date

CTET qualification is mandatory for all posts under BPSC TRE 4. Critically, your CTET certificate must be valid and obtained before the last date of application — not after. If you are yet to qualify CTET, this is your most urgent task right now.

Subject-Wise Vacancy — Click Here

One of the most common questions among aspirants is: Which subject has how many vacancies?

The subject-wise vacancy breakdown for TRE 4 has been released. BPSC will publish subject-wise and district-wise vacancy figures along with or shortly after the official notification. When that data is published, candidates will be able to make informed decisions about:

  • Which subject to apply under (relevant mainly for TGT and PGT posts)

  • Which districts have openings in your subject

  • How competitive the cut-off is likely to be in your subject area

Tip: Subscribe to the BPSC official website (bpsc.bihar.gov.in) and follow reliable educational news channels to get subject-wise vacancy data as soon as it is released.
