Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 24th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme from Bhildi in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district on 30 October 2026. More than ₹18,680 crore was transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer to over 9.34 crore farmer families nationwide, with each eligible family receiving ₹2,000.
Payments and eligibility
The disbursement took place during a national-level PM Kisan Utsav Diwas event. In Odisha, 35.38 lakh farmers received ₹3,000 crore. The previous instalment, the 23rd, was released on 20 June 2026.
PM-KISAN provides eligible farmer families with ₹6,000 annually in three equal instalments. Registered farmers must complete eKYC to receive the benefit; those who have not completed it will not receive the payment.
