The 68-metre ship is commanded by Lieutenant Commander Mary Senoiet.

USS Warrior is scheduled to depart Bangladesh’s territorial waters on 5 November.
Important Facts for Exams
- Low-signature design: USS Warrior belongs to the Avenger class, designed with very low acoustic and magnetic signatures to reduce the risk of triggering mines.
- Hull construction: Avenger-class vessels have wooden hulls externally coated with fibreglass, unlike the steel hulls used by most modern warships.
- Mine-neutralisation systems: USS Warrior’s class combines minehunting and classification sonar with remotely operated systems for neutralising and disposing of mines.
