SHS Bihar vs BTSC: why the recruiting body matters

Bihar recruits health staff through two different bodies, and the terms are usually not the same. Check which one the final advertisement comes from.

State Health Society, Bihar (SHSB)	Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC)
This recruitment	Yes – 11,000+ posts (as reported)	No
Typical nature of posts	Under the National Health Mission; past posts paid a fixed monthly honorarium	Regular government posts on a pay level
Recent example	Lab Technician 2025: 1,068 posts, ₹15,000/month (Senior LT ₹24,000)	Staff Nurse 2025: 11,389 posts, Pay Level 7
Website	shs.bihar.gov.in	btsc.bihar.gov.in

Don't confuse the two "11,000" figures. BTSC's 2025 Staff Nurse recruitment had 11,389 posts. The new 11,000+ figure is a separate SHS Bihar recruitment that also covers Lab Technician, Manager and Accountant posts.
